Scott McLaughlin is a composer and improviser based in Huddersfield, UK, born in Ireland (Co. Clare). He lectures in composition and music technology at the University of Leeds.

Belfast born composer Stephen McNeff grew up in South Wales and studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Daniel McNulty (Dal to his family and friends) was born in Dublin in 1920. Following an accident at the age of four he lost his sight.

Richard McReynolds is a Belfast-born composer and multimedia artist living in Cardiff. He is interested in using technology to blur boundaries between artistic mediums.

Born in Manchester, Adam Melvin studied music at the Queens University of Belfast where he specialised in composition, under Piers Hellawell and performance (saxophone).

Finola Merivale is an Irish composer of acoustic and electro-acoustic music living in New York.

Alan Mills was born in Belfast.

Through an open process of creativity and collaboration, Maria Minguella’s compositions explore the boundaries of sound and music.

Ernest John Moeran’s father was Irish and spent as much time in Ireland as in England after he made Kenmare his second home around 1934. In 1913 he began to study with C. V.

Ryan Molloy’s compositional work engages with the boundary of contemporary music and traditional Irish music, drawing on his extensive experience as a traditional Irish fiddler and pianist.

Peter Moran is a composer and music director whose interests include microtones and tuning systems, postcard miniatures, sacred choral writing and the mystical in music.

An Irish composer is defined as anyone who was born or is permanently resident in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland.
