Salomé cover

Salomé

Roger Doyle

In 1988 Roger Doyle was asked to compose the music for the Gate Theatre's production of Oscar Wilde's Salomé. On the opening night much of the music was improvised but through the years and after many performances the music has become more fixed. Performed by the composer, the music on this recording has undergone small changes so that it can exist independently to the theatre production.

the sound we are now cover

the sound we are now

In early 2007, David Stalling and Anthony Kelly asked a number of artists and composers to respond to a simple idea: to send a short track that in some way reflected their creativity at that particular moment. The rest was left open - the track could be a work in progress, an excerpt from a larger piece, a live recording, sound fragment, field recording or composition. The results of the project are to be found in this CD.
