25 October 2024 13:00

TU Dublin, East Quad

On Friday, 25 October at 1pm, in the Recital Hall at TU Dublin Conservatoire, Jimmy Goeijenbier, a doctoral student researching all forty-one pieces commissioned for the Dublin International Piano Competition between 1988 and 2022, will be performing an exciting recital.

Having presented three lecture recitals on the pieces from the 1988-2003 competitions, he is now embarking on a series of recitals to perform the pieces commissioned for the DIPC from 2006-2022. At this upcoming recital, Jimmy will perform the pieces commissioned for the 2006 and 2009 competitions, which includes works by Elaine Agnew, David Byers, Rhona Clarke, Siobhán Cleary, John Gibson, John McLachlan, Jennifer Walshe and Bill Whelan.

This promises to be an eclectic mix of styles, showcasing the diversity and richness of Irish piano repertoire!
