Fidelio Trio Winter Chamber Music Festival: They Danced While the Musicians Played
Belvedere House, St. Patrick’s College
The Fidelio Trio will be joined by Cillian Vallely of Lúnasa on the uilleann pipes to perform new works by celebrated Irish composers, including Niall Vallely, Shaun Davey, Irene Buckley, Neil Martin, and David Fennessy. The programme also includes Joan Trimble’s Phantasy Trio, Henry Cowell’s The Banshee, and the traditional Irish tune Port na bPúcaí on pipes. Highlights include two works by the late Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin, composed specifically for the Fidelio Trio, Crispy! and Fidelio Unsung, creating a vivid soundscape that blends contemporary chamber music with the haunting beauty of Irish traditional sounds.
As part of the Fidelio Trio Winter Chamber Music Festival.
The Fidelio Trio Winter Chamber Music Festival is brought to you by GlasDrum in partnership with Music at DCU, with funding from the Arts Council Festivals Investment Scheme.
