CMC is delighted to share details of Season 3 of Sparky Conversations
Sparky Conversations was launched in February 2023 as a series of online community discussions designed to explore big topics and spark ideas in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Led by artists, conversations have considered New Music in Ireland in interaction with broad and far-ranging issues - from climate action, accessibility, representation and inclusion, to ownership, collaboration, curation and audience development (see Season 2 schedule here).
For Season 3, Sparky Conversations will continue to ask big questions, with a particular focus in 2024 on the varied artistic practices of composers today. All are welcome to share experiences and participate in these discussions.
The first Sparky Conversation of 2024 will be led by CMC Composer Jennifer Walshe, whose discussion centres on the world of artificial intelligence and composition.
