Showcase of Irish Contemporary music during afternoon coffee breaks.
Venue: Orbsen Seminar Room or Ground Floor Aula Maxima.
Lunch: Main Canteen, NUIG.
19:30: Evening Activities
Concert: Sound Passing featuring Galway ConTempo Quartet and Concorde Ensemble Aula Maxima, NUIG
Programme of Irish works including a new commission for quartet and Uilleann pipes.
Hosted by Galway Music Residency, CMC and RTÉ Lyric fm with post concert wine reception for IAMIC delegates & Ars Acoustica delegates.

11:00 – 17:00: IAMIC Annual Conference at Aula Maxima, NUIG, Galway
The Listening Crowd - An international conference exploring new music and audiences
The IAMIC annual conference this year will get serious about audiences, discussing the why, who and how of audiences for music, across the globe and across all genres. With international and national contributors who will challenge, engage and inspire.
The conference day will end with a New Music Trail around the NUIG campus curated by composer and founder of Concorde Ensemble, Jane O’Leary.
Coffee breaks in the building. Lunch in Main Canteen (2 minutes walk)
17:00 - 18:00 : Music Trail, NUIG, Galway
Live music trail featuring work of Irish composers, showcased at five different venues on the NUIG Campus.
