Una Santa Oscura, a new music theatre work by Ian Wilson, receives its premiere this week.

Described by the composer as 'a piece of acoustic theatre', there is no text and violinist Ioana Petcu-Colan is the only person on stage; the music she plays carries the dramatic narrative. As well as the violinist, there's a wonderful electronic score which Ian Wilson made in collaboration with John Greenwood and Stephen McCourt at the University of Limerick. There is also lighting, video design and a great set, and director Tom Creed has made sure everything works on stage with great flair and imagination.

Una Santa Oscura receives its premiere production at the Project Arts Centre, Dublin, on 4, 5 and 6 March 2010 at 8.00pm. There is a post-show discussion with Ian Wilson, director Tom Creed, and violinist Ioana Petcu-Colan on Friday 5 March.
