Thérèse Fahy: The Handprint Collection

Short video on Thérèse Fahy's 'Handprint' project, which develops a recital programme around six commissioned works by Irish composers Raymond Deane, Siobhán Cleary, Benjamin Dwyer, Gráinne Mulvey, Michael Holohan and Bill Whelan.

Raymond Deane was born in the west of Ireland. He moved with his family to Dublin in 1963, and gained his B.Mus degree from University College Dublin in 1974.

Born in Dublin in 1970, Siobhán Cleary studied music at NUI Maynooth, Queen’s University Belfast and Trinity College Dublin.

Gráinne Mulvey’s music has been performed and broadcast across the globe. She has been the recipient of many awards, commissions and honours.

Bill Whelan has worked extensively in theatre and film. He was appointed composer to the W.B.

Born in Dublin in 1956, Michael Holohan was educated at O’Connell Schools CBS, University College Dublin, the Dublin College of Music and Queen’s University, Belfast.
