Chamber Choir Ireland: 'To Star the Dark' (Dublin & Clonmel)

Gabriel Crouch makes his debut as Artistic Director of Chamber Choir Ireland in 'To Star the Dark'.
In partnership with Finding a Voice, the programme spotlights women composers of the 21st century. It features works by some of the brightest lights in choral music today, including the world premiere of a new commission by Irish composer Amanda Feery. Feery's new work is a setting of Sólás by Irish poet Doireann Ní Ghríofa, depicting a visit from a sedge-warbler which, in Irish folklore, is believed to carry the soul of a child who has passed on, returning to comfort their mother with song.
