The National Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with the Contemporary Music Centre and RTÉ lyric fm, presents the premiere performances of works composed as part of Composer Lab 2022. The performances of three new works by composers Adam McCartney, Seán Ó Dálaigh, and Judith Ring will form part of a special edition of RTÉ lyric Live with Paul Herriott on Monday 9 January from 9pm.

Composer Lab is a professional development initiative delivered in partnership by the National Symphony Orchestra and the Contemporary Music Centre, Ireland. Now in its fifth year, Composer Lab is aimed at composers who wish to write for symphony orchestra and focuses on providing these composers with a creative and open environment to deepen their experience in writing for symphonic forces, under the mentorship of composer David Fennessy

Alongside the opportunity to hear these new works broadcast live, the programme will also include on-stage interviews regarding the process of the project with presenter Paul Herriott, composer mentor David Fennessy, and the participating composers.
