LCMS Festival: Opening concert featuring music by Gavin Bryars, Sam Perkin & Andrew Synnott

Following a three-year gap, Louth Contemporary Music Society is delighted to present the LCMS Midsummer Festival: Nothing has changed. Everything has changed - 17 + 18 June, Dundalk.
The festival opens on Friday 17 June at St Nicholas Church of Ireland in Dundalk. Featuring a repeat performance there of Linda Caitlin Smith’s “Meadow” for three string players and a chance to hear Sam Perkin’s “Flow” live.
On the same programme are new works by Andrew Synnott ( I follow, I follow..) and by Gavin Bryars. Gavin's new work is called Wittgenstein Fragments with words by Vincent Woods. It is based on Wittgenstein's time in Ireland. Among the performers are soprano Juliet Fraser, Irish string quartet, the Esposito and flautist Silvija Scerbaviciute.
