Access Point! 2025: Information & support sessions for women artists working in New Music in Ireland

Deadline: 26 March 2025 12:00

The Contemporary Music Centre Ireland is delighted to announce Access Point! 2025 an information and support series for women composers / performers / artists working in New Music in Ireland.

The Access Point! 2025 series is designed as an open and welcoming space for women artists to share their experiences working in New Music, ask questions, and to talk to the CMC team about supports they need. Further sessions will be scheduled across 2025, spotlighting key areas of interest. This series was developed by CMC in response to the gender balance amongst our represented composers, and recommendations in CMC and Sounding the Feminists' commissioned research Uneven Score. CMC is committed to supporting women artists in New Music, and to working together to rebalance the landscape of opportunities.

Session #1: Wednesday 26 March 2025, 12 - 1pm (ONLINE).

The focus of Session #1 is to provide resources and guidance in three areas:

  • CMC Artist Representation
  • Composer / Performer Opportunities
  • Networking in the New Music sector

This online meeting will include the option for anonymous questions and comments from participants. Closed captions will be available. If you have any access requirements to participate, please contact Méabh at mnoonan@cmc.ie
