IAMIC Delegate Hotel
The Harbour Hotel, Galway (www.harbour.ie) is the official hotel for IAMIC delegates. It is located on the waterfront in Galway city, just minutes from Eyre Square and the city centre, with easy access by train or coach.
Getting to Galway

Dublin International Airport is the best option for most delegates.
Travelling to Galway from Dublin Airport by Coach
- This is the most efficient option as it is possible to take a coach directly from Dublin Airport to Galway City Centre. On arrival make your way to the Coach Park at Dublin Airport. Thare are number of frequent and reliable coach services to choose from to travel directly from the airport to Galway city centre, including: Bus Éireann, CityLink and GoBus.
- On these websites you will find the timetable for these services to enable you to plan your journey from Dublin Airport to Galway City Centre. Tickets can be booked online or you can buy tickets from the driver on the coach. The central coach station in Galway is 5 mintues walk or 2 minutes in a taxi to the IAMIC Hotel.
Travelling to Galway from Dublin Airport by Train
- To travel by train to Galway City Centre from Dublin Airport, you must first take a local bus (no. 747) from the airport to Heuston Station in Dublin City Centre. From Heuston Station you can board the train for Galway City. It is possible to buy tickets at the station but it is better and cheaper to book tickets in advance. - The train station in Galway City is called Ceannt Station and it is 5 minutes walk or 2 minutes in a taxi from the IAMIC hotel.
Conference Venue
The National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG) is the venue for the IAMIC Business meetings and annual Conference. NUIG is approximately 15 minutes walk from the IAMIC hotel in Galway city centre. Alternatively you can take a taxi to the university, or take the No.4 Bus in the direction of Newcastle from Eyre Square, near the train station, which is the normal drop-off point for buses.
