Crash Ensemble: Strings in the Air (Hugh Lane Concert Series)
Abbey Presbyterian Church (Findlater's Church)

ENSEMBLE: Siun Milne, Violin; Maria Ryan, Violin; Lisa Dowdall, Viola; Kate Ellis, Cello; Máire Carroll, Piano.
As winter draws in and the light fades, music has a unique way of reflecting both the stillness and intensity of the season. Strings in the Air, presented by Crash Ensemble, brings together a collection of works for strings that respond to memory, place, transformation, and renewal.
The programme includes the world premiere of Raymond Deane’s Frost’s Descent, inspired by the seasonal shift from autumn to winter, alongside music that honours milestones, explores personal journeys, and draws inspiration from myth, nature, and the echoes of history. At its heart, this concert is both a celebration of change, and a reflection on the moments and memories that shape us.
