Choral Sketches 2024 Open Workshop
The Studio, National Concert Hall

Composers Bianca Gannon, Laura Heneghan, and Caterina Schembri bring their new musical ideas—or sketches—to an open workshop with Chamber Choir Ireland and conductor, Paul Hillier.
Choral Sketches is a unique professional development opportunity for composers who wish to develop their skills in writing choral music with mentoring from renowned Irish composer, Rhona Clarke. Delivered in partnership by the Contemporary Music Centre Ireland and Chamber Choir Ireland, the purpose of the programme is to provide a creative and open environment for composers to deepen their experience in writing for voices in a choral context.
In this open workshop, members of the public will get to witness this early stage of the year-long creative process, as the composers work with professional performers to develop their new pieces of choral music.
