City of Derry International Choir Festival Opening Gala featuring the world premiere of a work by Dumbworld (Brian Irvine & John McIlduff)

The City of Derry International Choir Festival is back for its 10th edition and opens with a concert performance of the epic Carmina Burana.
The 2022 Festival Chorus (made up of singers from across the North West) will be joined by the Ulster Orchestra for the opening gala performance on Wednesday 19 October. Soloists include Derry’s own Laura Sheerin, tenor Benito Rodriguez and baritone Omar Lara, from the Opera Studio Beckmann, Mexico, all under the baton of conductor Gabriel Bebeselea.
This concert will feature the WORLD PREMIERE of a brand new work by Dumbworld’s Brian Irvine and John McIlduff entitled A New Topography of Love, Part 3 The Singing Stopped. Performed by Festival Singers, Festival Chorus and Ulster Orchestra.
