Harpist Anne-Marie O Farrell plays a programme of Irish works on 16 June.

Composer and harpist Anne-Marie O'Farrell performs a varied concert of works by Irish composers on Wednesday 16 June at 8.30pm.

They include Three Irish Folktunes by Eric Sweeney, the first performance of Pool by David Bremner, an Impromtu by Harry Carpendale and some of her own pieces from Cailleach Suite. She will also play Derek Ball's suite, Of Caílte’s Time.

The programme will show a cross section of how the Irish harp is being written for now, with a whole range of sound worlds explored by the different composers represented. A feature of the evening is readings by Séamus Mac Gabhann from the new translation of Acallam na Senórach by Maurice Harman.
