Almost 800 people visited CMC as part of Culture Night 2010
The event on 24 September 2010 allowed the public to experience a range of installations and performances which took place throughout the building.
Live performances of double bass player Bryan Quigley performing Ailís Ní Ríain's Dogs in Waiting took place during the evening in CMC's reception area.
In the outdoor courtyard, Eoin Smith's interactive piece allowed visitors to experiment with sounds produced by turntables.
Enda Bates' spatial music installation Sound Swarm took place in the Centre's library and took the form of a game where visitors had to use a remote wireless controller to move a sound into the centre of a quadraphonic loudspeaker array.
The third floor of the Centre was used to display part of an exhibition, The Art of Sound, a multimedia exhibition devised by CMC.
CMC also live-streamed a video of the Culture Night activities on its site for the first time, allowing viewers who could not attend the events to view and hear the performances and installations.
A selection of photos from the night are available on CMC's Flickr site.
