Tony Langlois (1960 - 2024)
The Contemporary Music Centre is deeply saddened to learn of the unexpected passing of composer Dr Tony Langlois.
Founder and co-director of the IndieCork festival, and stalwart of the Cork and Limerick sound art, film and media scenes, Tony’s impact as a composer, curator, ethnomusicologist, and lecturer at Mary Immaculate College is profound and inspiring.
CMC Director, Evonne Ferguson:
Tony is recognised for his boundless interests across music, culture and film, as an enthusiastic collaborator, and an energetic supporter of new voices and emerging artists. CMC’s Board and Staff express their deepest sympathies to Tony Langlois’ wife Úna, his children, grandchildren, family and friends for their loss.
