Spatial Music Collective member Jonathan Nangle talks about his work for Culture Night 2011, an outdoor installation, Trip the Light Fantastic, for CMC's courtyard.

Culture Night 2011 takes place on 23 September 2011 in Dublin and some 30 towns and cities across Ireland. The night offers people of many ages the opportunity to experience a night of free and varied cultural activities in venues throughout the country.

CMC will open its entire building to the public between 6:00-10:00pm with a programme of events including live performances, installations, and a multi-media exhibition. The Spatial Music Collective with composers Linda BuckleyJonathan NangleEnda Bates and Brian Bridges will create a sonic experience throughout CMC's entire building in Fishamble Street, inspired by the past and CMC's historic location.

Culture Night 2011, now in its sixth year, is co-ordinated by Temple Bar Cultural Trust and supported by the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism.
