CMC's second Summer Residency recipient for July 2016, David Coonan, talks about his work as part of the residency and approach to composing.
Based in Kildare, David Coonan lived in the UK for many years before returning to Ireland. in 2015, his orchestral works featured in a programme as part of the RTÉ Horizons series with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra. He is currently working on a new string quartet for the The Galway Music Residency RTE Contempo Quartet as well as a piece for Vivre Musicale.
