Sundays at Noon: Deirdre O'Leary (solo clarinet)
Dublin City Gallery, The Hugh Lane

Clarinet & bass clarinet player, Deirdre O’Leary brings a programme of her favourite music that ranges from gritty funkiness in David Lang’s Press Release, to ecstatic architectural perfection in Jonathan Nangle’s Mandala (world premiere in a live performance). She will be joined by three special guests for the final piece.
Deirdre is a member of Cassiopeia Wind Quintet, Wildwood Duo (bass clarinet & percussion) and the medieval-jazz ensemble Anakronos. She plays regularly with the National Symphony Orchestra and Irish National Opera. From 2003-2022 she was a member of Crash Ensemble. She has toured Europe, Australia and the US and extensively around Ireland.
