Sister Winter
Mellow Tonics Choir, conducted by Norah Constance Walsh, presents 'Sister Winter’, a stellar celebration of ten years of song at the Pepper Canister Church, Dublin 2.
Mellow Tonics Choir, a mixed voice ensemble formed in Dublin in 2015, invites you to join us on 14th December, 7.30pm, for a choral celebration of the light, warmth and beauty of winter, and the bonds that have grown through ten years of shared song. The beautiful Pepper Canister Church in Dublin 2 provides the setting for a very special evening on a journey through winter’s light and stillness with a repertoire touched by sparkles of Christmas!
We look forward to performing some mellow festive favourites including “Sister Winter” by Sufjan Stevens and “Northern Lights” by Ola Gjeilo, along with the mathematically inspired “Coded Beauty” composed by Norah Constance Walsh, a piece commissioned SoSimpatico Productions for the occasion of the Museum of the Moon Festival this year. We are delighted to be joined by violist Hélène Vigour and Shane McVicker on piano for a selection of instrumental and choral works. We are also excited to introduce some very special choral guests on the evening.
