IAYO 30th Festival of Youth Orchestras

The Irish Association of Youth Orchestras is delighted to return to the National Concert Hall, Dublin for their 30th annual Festival of Youth Orchestras! Featuring Vincent Kennedy's "Hope Springs Eternal" (premiere) commissioned by the IAYO, performed by the Atlantic Tri-Orchestra, conducted by Vincent Kennedy.

The Festival of Youth Orchestras is the annual celebration of Irish youth orchestras and their talented members with a diverse variety of music played by young people for young people. The 2026 Festival of Youth Orchestras, the 30th edition, will see over 400 musicians from across Ireland take to the stage of the National Concert Hall for two concerts to perform classical works and modern arrangements. The programme features iconic works such as Finlandia by Jean Sibelius, music from the musicals such as the Phantom of the Opera and films such as Out of Africa, as well as traditional Irish music, original compositions by Irish composers and much more!
