Kilkenny Arts Festival 2025: Irish Youth Choir

13 August 2025 19:30

St Canice’s Cathedral

The Irish Youth Choir used to be a feature of KAF and we’re delighted to welcome them back after a long hiatus. It’s a double homecoming because their Chorus Director Patrick Barrett – one of the leading choral conductors in Ireland and the UK – was born in Kilkenny but has never performed at the festival before. The programme boasts a wealth of contemporary Irish and international composers and features new work from Rhona Clarke as well as a collaboration between poet and performing artist Samuel Akura and composer Seán Doherty. Don’t miss these beautiful works performed by a new generation of talented singers.

Presented by KAF in partnership with Sing Ireland.
