Midleton Arts Festival: Danny McCarthy - Healing Memories Walking On Water

A work dealing with climate change comprising of a sound installation, performance and photography. Utilising field recordings of rainfall and water made locally over several months McCarthy has made a work that is both beautiful and worrying at the same time.
This work supported by Cork County Council continues the artist’s involvement in this very topical area.
Danny McCarthy is regarded as one of the leading exponents of sound art and performance art in Ireland having exhibited extensively both in Ireland and worldwide. His work is in numerous public and private collections including The National Collection.
