This very special lunchtime concert features six musicians in an outstanding programme which includes two major 20th century works: the world premiere of Irish composer Ina Boyle’s “Lament for Bion” for tenor and string quartet and Vaughan Wiliams’ popular song cycle “On Wenlock Edge” for tenor, string quartet and piano.
MfG’s Artistic Director Finghin Collins and Galway’s ConTempo Quartet are joined by New Zealand tenor Christopher Bowen to perform these evocative works.
Music for Galway presents the SAP lunchtime concert series in association with Arts in Action, NUI Galway and the Galway Music Residency.
