'Apocalypse of the Air' concert by Rudersdal Chamber Players featuring 'Vayu-Vata' by composer Raymond Deane
Lindevang Church

Lindevang Church marks Auschwitz Day with a concert from Rudersdal Chamber Soloists.
The ensemble is working on a 4-year project on The Four Elements and is focusing on AIR this season. The title of this concert is "The Apocalypse of the Air", and with the help of words, music and art video, the air is described as a metaphor for the lives lost during the Nazi air bombardments of World War II.
Ditte Steensballe contributes with both her own texts written for the occasion as well as the reading of eyewitness accounts from people who experienced the airstrikes during World War II. Several of the pieces of music were composed during the war, including George Enescus II.
The artist group Stablede Kanter, which consists of a number of renowned Danish artists, has made an art video for the music, where you can experience the feeling of spirit in everyday situations.
The Irish composer Raymond Deane has written a new work, which will be performed at the concert, just as you can hear music by Paul Hindemith, who was a "degenerate" composer, ie blacklisted by the Nazis.
Rudersdal Chamber Soloists consists of violinist Christine Pryn, viola player Isabelle Bania, cellist John Ehde and pianist Manuel Esperilla.
