With a drinks reception from 7pm, St Vincent's chapel presents the third composer in residence concert. Harry Whalley has been the composer in residence since 2016. In this concert, his new piece Leighton Contrasts is performed by concert pianist Svetoslav Todorov in an exciting program of music from Ravel to Bates. Svetoslav's energy as a pianist is causing notice, this summer he shall be performing in the New York Carnegie Hall.
Leighton Contrasts was written during Harry Whalley's residency in the Banff center in 2016 and was completed in the winter of 2018.
