Having completed a masters degree in composition with Dr. Eric Sweeney, Katherine Wyers writes music influenced by jazz, contemporary classical and electroacoustic music and she likes balancing fully notated music with interactive improvised group playing. While she has written several works that blend live processing with acoustic performance, her recent music has been purely acoustic and driven by melody and rhythm. In 2014, she founded Melody College, the live online music school, to help bring high-quality music tuition to remote areas of the world.
