Conor Linehan

(b. 1971)

Conor Linehan studied piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music with
Thérèse Fahy and, after graduating from Trinity College Dublin with a
degree in Music and English, continued his piano studies in London with
Professor Peter Feuchtwanger.

As a pianist he has performed as soloist with the RTÉ National Symphony
Orchestra, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, the Dublin Philharmonic and the
Crash Ensemble, amongst others.
He has composed music for all of the major theatre companies in Ireland
as well as the Royal Shakespeare Company and National Theatre. Theatre
work in 2017 includes Woyzeck in Winter for the Galway International
Arts Festival, Barbican Theatre and Dublin Theatre Festival, and Dublin by
Lamplight for the Abbey Theatre and Galway International Arts Festival.
In 2015 he completed a solo piano commission for the renowned British
pianist Joanna MacGregor. Other performances include a string quartet
for the London based Elysian Quartet, and a Concerto for Piano and Jazz
Ensemble for Thérèse Fahy and the RIAM Jazz Ensemble.
Conor Linehan is on the piano faculty of the Royal Irish Academy of Music
and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Performance in association with
Trinity College Dublin.
