As a composer Adrian Hart is primarily interested in the exploration of acoustic sound through electronic manipulation. Specialising in Irish, North-American and Eastern-European traditional fiddle repertoire, his compositions focus on the development of techniques found in traditional and non-classical styles of music within a contemporary context.
He graduated from the Royal Irish Academy of Music with a BA in Music performance (2003) and from the Masters in Music and Media Technology course at Trinity College Dublin (2008), studying composition with Donnacha Dennehy and Roger Doyle.
His works have been commissioned and performed throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe by Yurodny, Kate Ellis, Cora Venus Lunny, Dan Trueman, the Dublin Laptop Orchestra and Hezarfen ensemble. His music has been broadcast internationally.
Adrian Hart is production manager with Crash Ensemble and produces the highly acclaimed Kaleidoscope Night concerts monthly in Dublin. Over the years he has worked with Ergodos, Con Tempo Quartet, Concorde, Kevin Volans, Gerald Barry, Barry Guy, Nico Muhly, Steve Reich and Michael Gordon.
