TCD O’Mahony Visiting Research Fellowship in Music

The Trinity Long Room Hub Arts and Humanities Research Institute at Trinity College Dublin is inviting applications for the O’Mahony Visiting Research Fellowship in Music for 2025/2026. This three-month funded fellowship is open to musicologists, theorists, technologists, textual scholars, and composers not resident or employed on the island of Ireland. Applicants must hold a doctorate or equivalent qualification and demonstrate a strong record of research or creative output.

Applicants must propose a project in collaboration with an identified academic partner from the Department of Music or another relevant Trinity Arts and Humanities department. Projects may include composition, performance, peer-reviewed publication or archival work.
