"Biennale Manuel de Falla" International Composition Competition

The "Biennale Manuel de Falla" International Composition Competition is conceived as a permanent tribute to the Spanish composer Manuel de Falla and will be held biennially. Its aim is to promote and reward contemporary musical creation, with special emphasis on works for chamber orchestra, with or without soloist. The instrumentation for this first edition must be for solo piano and chamber orchestra, as an explicit homage to Manuel de Falla. The competition is open to composers of any nationality and without age limit. Participants may submit unpublished works that have not been awarded in other competitions and have not been previously performed in concert or public events. Each composer may submit only one work.
