Meet the Composer

Over the next number of weeks we profile the composers who have been accepted for representation over the last year.

Solfa Carlile is a Cork-born composer currently based in Oxford. In 2013 she won the Seán Ó Ríada prize for her Upon the Rose, which was performed by the National Chamber Choir of Ireland at the Cork International Choral Festival 2013. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate at the University of Oxford.

Her work Dystopia (2010) for solo flute was premiered by Christine Hankin at the National Flute Association Convention, Annaheim, California, USA on 14 August 2010 and also performed by William Dowdall at the CMC Salon on 24 April 2014.
