CMC Library Update for April 2014
This monthly update from CMC’s library features some of the works added to its collection during the previous month. With over 170 active composers who regularly send in copies of scores and recordings, CMC’s library is continually updated to ensure that it is as complete and comprehensive as possible.
During April, works from 16 different composers were added to the CMC online library catalogue. These include works from the whole spectrum of categories: solo instrumental, ensemble, electro-acoustic, vocal, choral and orchestral works. Selected works include:

Ian Wilson (1964-) Shī Shì shí shī shǐ (2013)
for voice and chamber ensemble
Premiered by Eunoia Quintet on 6 May 2014 at Gare du Nord, Basel, Switzerland.A setting of a modern poem written in Classical Chinese by Yuen Ren Chao (1892–1982), in which every syllable has the sound shi (in different tones) when read in modern Mandarin Chinese.
