New Music at Culture Night

programmes-295x250Culture Night is an annual event that sees institutions, organisations and companies open their doors and present free events, concerts and exhibitions for free. Here is our round-up of new music events taking place across the country as part of Culture Night.

  • CMC present a salon-style night of new music with the Brennan-Cahill duo, Gavin Prior, Anna Murray and Michelle O'Rourke, Sean Clancy, Enda Bates and crOw (Cathal Roche and Ian Wilson)
  • The Dublin Sound Archive Collective present an audiovisual exhibition by experimental sound artists Adrian Hughes and Timothy O'Neill in Howth
  • David Bremner will perform a live organ accompaniment to a silent film as part of the Christ Church Cathedral Culture Night programme
  • Ardú Vocal Ensemble perform a mixed programme of contemporary and classical music in venues around Dublin
  • The Centre for Creative Practices present a night of contemporary art and music, including sound art from La Cosa Preziosa from Kildare St., Dublin
  • Therese Fahy will perform piano works from her Handprint Collection of commissions, including Siobhán Cleary's Leda and the Swan in Boyle's King House
