CMC Salon Series 2009: Cashell Trio

CMC New Music Salon - The Cashell Trio

A short video featuring highlights from the Cashell Trio's performance at the Contemporary Music Centre's new music Salon series in the Goethe Institut, Dublin on 19 November 2009.

The Cashell siblings—Anna, Sophie and Ben—have won much praise for their solo performances. As well as continuing to pursue their solo careers, they come together to play chamber music as the Cashell Trio. Their performance on 19 November included a programme of works by Raymond Deane and Benjamin Dwyer.

The CMC Salon series is designed to introduce the newcomer to contemporary music as well as capture the interest of those already familiar with it. Each performance takes place in an informal atmosphere with dialogue encouraged between composers, performers and audience. Other salons in this year's series included the Spatial Music Collective which presented works by Enda BatesJonathan Nangle and Linda Buckley, and a performance of works by Greg CaffreyEibhlis Farrell and Ian Wilson by saxophonist Kevin Hanafin and guitarist Redmond O'Toole.
