new music::new Ireland Salon Series - Therese Fahy

Pianist Therese Fahy performs works by Frank Corcoran, Ed Bennett, and Ian Wilson during CMC's new music::new Ireland Salon on 30 March 2011.

Irish pianist Thérèse Fahy performed a programme of works by Irish composers in advance of a US tour in April/May of 2011. The tour takes place as part of Culture Ireland's Imagine Ireland, a year-long programme Irish arts events in the US.

In this Salon, which took place on in March 2011, she performed Frank Corcoran's Nine Pratoleva Pearls, Ed Bennett's Gothic, and two movements from Ian Wilson's large-scale piano work, Stations.

The new music::new Ireland Salon was recorded in the Kevin Barry Room at the National Concert Hall, Dublin on 30 March 2011. Video by Amanda Feery and lighting by Aedin Cosgrove.
