Jane O’Leary’s work ‘in a flurry of whispering’ selected for performance in New York

Jane O’Leary’s 2011 sextet has been selected from 127 works from 14 countries for performance at the 2013 Annual Concert of the IAWM (International Alliance of Women in Music) in New York City on October 11, 2013. in a flurry of whispering was written originally with the assistance of a Project Award from The Arts Council for Concorde and Garth Knox, and performed by them in Dublin and Paris. The work will be featured in a concert by the ensemble mise-en, an innovative and versatile New York-based contemporary music collective directed by composer Moon Young Ha.

Jane O’Leary has been awarded a grant from Culture Ireland which will enable her to attend the performance. The concert is co-presented by the IAWM and The Performance Project @ University Settlement.
