Elaine Agnew featured by the Donegal Music Education Partnership

Elaine Agnew

A concert presented by the Donegal Music Education Partnership will include works by Elaine Agnew, whose music will form the focus for the 2013 season of the Donegal Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Victor Yelamo.

The concert features both the Donegal Chamber Orchestra, the Donegal Youth Choir and Junior Choirs, including over fifty young singers from across the county. On the programme will be both choral and instrumental music by Agnew, as well as music by Mozart and Vivaldi. Agnew was the first RTÉ Composer-in-Residence and has recently had a commission premiered at the BBC Proms.

The event will be an afternoon concert at Ballybofey's Balor Arts Centre on 17 February, 3pm. Tickets cost €8/€5 and are available from the Balor Arts Centre website.
