The BBC Concert Orchestra will perform a new work by Anne-Marie O’Farrell

The work, Rann Dó Trí, was submitted following the Baroque Remixed challenge to postgraduate and fellows to re-write the Rondeau from Purcell’s Abdelazer Suite, and was shortlisted alongside four other works. These works will be performed by the orchestra and conductor Charles Hazlewood on 12 January, and up to two of the shortlisted works will be chosen to be performed by the orchestra live on BBC Radio 3 at London’s Roundhouse in March 2013.

Anne-Marie O’Farrell is currently studying for a PhD in composition at Queen’s University, Belfast with Piers Hellawell.
