The Sundays @ Noon concert on 15 April features Jennifer Walshe
Jennifer Walshe and Alessandro Bosetti are two of the most anomalous figures of the contemporary music scene. They are both local artists and composers that have been exploring the uncharted territory between music, speech and noise in a variety of forms ranging from experimental radio play, opera, instrumental music and performance.
Their approach to voice oscillates between the referential and non-referential making use of an extremely broad palette of unconventional sounds. Alessandro Bosetti's approach is close to sound anthropology and incorporates social, behavioral and sociological aspects in his works for radio, ensembles and as a performer while in Jennifer Walshe's work a big role is played by text, narratives and mischievous humor.
The duo perform a concert in Dublin City Gallery The Hugh Lane on Sunday, 15 April 2012 at 12:00pm as part of the regular Sundays @ Noon concert series.
