JACK Quartet perform new work by Belfast based Peter Rosser in April.

The JACK Quartet visits Ireland for the first time in April with a programme which includes a new work from Belfast-based composer Peter Rosser. Rosser's String Quartet No. 2 will be premiered by the quartet on 24 April 2012 at the newly-opened Metropolitan Arts Centre (MAC) in Belfast.
The New York-based JACK commission and perform new works – collaborating with composers such as Helmut Lachenmann and Georg Friedrich Haas. They have appeared to critical acclaim throughout the USA and Europe, wowing audiences with their ‘mind-blowingly good’ (Los Angeles Times) and ‘viscerally exciting performances’ (New York Times).
The concert, which also includes string quartets by Haas and Radulescu, begins at 8:00pm on 24 April 2012.
