The first annual Irish Sound, Science and Technology Convocation

The first annual Irish Sound, Science and Technology Convocation (ISSTC) titled, “Overture” will be held August 10-12, 2011 at the University of Limerick, hosted by the ISSTA.

The Irish Sound, Science and Technology Association is an organisation that brings together practitioners integrating fields of music, sound, science and technology based in Ireland.

It serves musicians, researchers, scientists, engineers and artists by promoting the art, music and research in Ireland, especially in international communities.

The convocation includes papers, workshops, the ISSTA general meetings and concerts. “Pulse” by Enda Bates will feature in Wednesday’s concert with a new work, “B side” by composer Bryan Quigley with electronics by Cork based composer Francis Heery, to premiere on Thursday evening.
