The winner of the Feis Ceoil Contemporary Irish Music Cup is Gavin Brennan

The award for the best performance of an Irish work at the Feis Ceoil, Dublin was won by a young saxophonist from Dublin.
Gavin Brennan is a second year B.Mus Performance student of Kevin Hanafin at the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. He performed works by Ian Wilson and Eibhlis Farrell and was awarded the Contemporary Irish Music cup presented by Feis Ceoil and a monetary prize from CMC. The competition was held on 13 April 2011.
The Contemporary Irish Music Cup is awarded annually for the best performance of Irish works written since 1950.
