DIT Composers’ Group Concert - Thursday 31st March 2011
Student composers in the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama present an exciting evening of newly composed music. Following an opener from the established repertoire the concert will feature new compositions by Victoria Johnston, Dan O'Neill, and Norah Walsh. Jane O'Leary (composer and founder of Concorde) will lead the composers in a brief introduction to each work and there will be special guest performances by renowned performers Polly Ballard (RTÉ Symphony Orchestra) and cellist Anne Murnaghan. They will be joined by DIT performance students Louis Boland, Morgan Buckley, Karl Byrne, Daniel Dunne, Aslak Fiske Fjalestad, Darren Hatch, Stephen McCann, Eve O'Donnell, Katerina Speranskaya and Ciaran Sutton.
This excting performance of new works takes place at the Pepper Canister Church, Upper Mount St, Off Merrion Square, Dublin 2
Refreshments will follow the concert. Admission 5/Euro.
