New work by Judith Ring in the March Kaleidoscope Night.

The first Wednesday of the month is almost upon us again and March Kaleidoscope continues with the unique blend of old and new, everything from Bach to John Zorn  in the gorgeous setting of The Odessa Club. The series is curated by musicians Kate Ellis (cello) and Cliodhna Ryan (violin). This month audiences can look forward to the world premiere of Judith Ring’s ‘To Pull an Eerie Twist’, with Michelle O’Rourke (mezzo-soprano) and Kate Ellis and the extraordinary ‘Jesus is Coming’ by Jacob TV, for mixed ensemble and tape. Ken Edge, Kevin Hanafin, Fintan Sutton and Rob Geraghty will join forces to perform UK composer Graham Fitkin’s sax quartet, STUB, followed by John Zorn’s klezmer-inspired ‘Paran’ with Deirdre O’Leary (bass clarinet), Kate Ellis (cello) and Malachy Robinson (double bass).
