The National Campaign for the Arts endeavours to have the arts on local and national government agendas and recognised as a vital part of contemporary Irish life.

On Friday, 17 September 2010, arts workers and artists in many constituencies around the country will meet their local TDs. They will convey the aims of the National Campaign for the Arts, as well as raise additional local arts issues. NCFA members will also present a series of events around the country.

As part of the National Campaign for the Arts Day of Action, CMC has produced a map detailing where its registered composers are located, thereby visually demonstrating how Irish composers populate the length and breadth of Ireland.

CMC will contact each of the TDs in constituencies in which composers reside as part of the campaign, and will also be encouraging all composers and clients of CMC to contact their local TDs in the lead up to the December budget through the National Campaign for the Arts web site - www.ncfa.ie.

Please note that the placemarks in the map refer to general areas in which Irish composers are based and are not in any way linked to actual street addresses.
