Composer George Higgs and the Joculator feature in RadioActive

RadioActive is a unique collaboration between RTÉ Choice & Dublin Fringe Festival. During the ten days of the festival, ten tiny audio bombs will be created and broadcast on RTÉ Choice. By listening online (www.rte.ie/digitalradio/choice) from Monday to Friday of the festival you will hear the work of ten artists and makers who are braving the radio waves for the first time. Each morning, RTÉ producer Ronan Kelly will work with the participants and a few minutes of radio magic will be put together and broadcast later that day at 6pm, 11.50pm and and the next morning 9.30am. All the RadioActive pieces will also be available to stream and download from the RTÉ and the festival’s websites after their first broadcast.

Composer George Higgs and the Joculator will feature on RadioActive. On his homemade electro-acoustic vehicle The Joculator, George Higgs creates a musical composition along the way from the sounds of the city, the voices of people he meets and the musicians who provide the daily rhythm of Dublin. Listen to George's RadioActive pieces on

Tues 21 September, RTÉ Choice, 6.30pm, 11.30pm and Wed 22 September, RTÉ Choice, 9.30am
